Women's Conference - April 30 - May 1, 2010
Traveling down a familiar road is easy. Each twist and turn along the way is expected. We find comfort in familiar sights and enjoy recalling cherished memories. We relax in the journey as our confidence builds . . . and then the unexpected happens! Suddenly, we are on a new path, tentatively trying to wander through the landmines of the unknown. Fear, angst, doubt, and shadowed imaginations flood our minds, grip our hearts, and blind our vision—nothing is clear or comfortable or certain anymore. We would never take this journey blind-folded and alone, nor should we. Realizing that we can trust the most reliable traveling Companion who is right beside us, we can lean fully on the perfect Guide, our God . . .Jehovah Shemmah ‘the Lord is there’ – And He is every step of the way!
Not only is He there right beside us – He is the Giver of peace, The Great provider, The Hope of our final destination.
It’s His desire that:
What more could we possibly need?
Speaker: Carol Trahan
Carol (Willett) Trahan was saved in 1981 at the age of 22 out of a life of immorality and the occult. She married Jeffrey Trahan in 1986. Their daughter, Sarah, was born in 1987 and their son, Caleb, in 1989. In October of 1994, Jeff ended his life after confessing to immoral sin that devastated their family. Carol was two months pregnant with their third child (Rebekah) at the time. As a result, the Lord showed Himself mighty, intervening in their lives to reveal His awesome power, amazing grace, and unfailing love and mercy. The Lord has led her every step of the way, bringing her to brokenness and the place of complete dependence on Him.
God called her into the ministry in 1996 to show forth His power and sufficiency to ladies in every circumstance of life. Her desire is to communicate to ladies their need to walk in a state of continual revival—having a passion for the living God, loving Him and His Word supremely, knowing Him intimately, and serving Him wholeheartedly.
Carol currently serves on the faculty of Northland International University (Dunbar, WI), where she teaches ladies' Bible and counseling classes. Carol has a B.S. in Biochemistry from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California; and will complete her M.A. in Biblical Counseling from Northland International University this year (2009). Sarah (22) is a graduate of Northland and serves at Harvest Baptist Ministries on the island of Guam. Caleb (20) serves our country in the U.S. Army. Rebekah (14) is a student at Pioneer Christian School. During the summer, Carol ministers through counseling and moral sessions at Northland Camp & Conference Center.
